Sculpt Nouveau Mold Release is a mold release and casting primer for use in urethane or silicon molds. Cured resin castings will have a fantastic metallic finish that can be aged with cold patinas.
Directions: Spray mold release onto the mold using an HVLP spray gun, touch-up gun, or air brush. Brush application may be used to apply the release agent to urethane mold surfaces. A hair dryer or heat gun will aid in the brush application. For best performance, use clean molds, free of silicone oil mold release residue. Apply two layers of mold release to fully coat the mold. Let the mold release fully dry at least 30 minutes before casting. Cold patinas, such as Tiffany Green and Darkening, may be used on the finished cast piece. Warming the surface of the finished piece with a hair dryer will help other patinas and patina stains to adhere. Important: Always check your mold for compatibility with the mold release before using.
Sculpt Nouveau Mold Release is available in bronze, brass, copper, gold, silver, and neutral colors and in 8oz., 32oz., 1 gallon, and 5 gallon sizes. One gallon of Mold Release generally covers 200 sq. ft. per coat. Two to three coats are recommended.
