This is my concept for a redesign of the Member's Mark logo. Some of you may be familiar with their products, if you've shopped at Sam's Club stores. (Sam's Club is a subsidiary of Walmart). I designed this logo in a way that I believe compliments the Sam's Club & Walmart logos, which have also been redesigned in the last few years. I even based the lower shapes of the M on Walmart's spark logo, as well as used it for the apostrophe (') in Member's Mark. The top-curved upper shapes of the M match that of the text, which I also based on Walmart's Logotype, which also match that of the Sam’s Club “Arrows” logo that has its end-edges sharp on one side and rounded on the other. I generally kept the same color scheme, with only slight color variations, especially with lightening of the black text into a darker grey color. I’ve literally been shopping at Sam’s Club (as well as Walmart) for decades now, including shopping there 1-2 times per week, every week for the last 10 years, for the ARF that I work at. I’ve really grown to recognize their Member’s Mark products for their quality as well as their packaging designs and I believe they could benefit from this redesigned logo, to really “connect the dots” with their newly updated Sam’s Club & Walmart logos.
