Lily of the Nile also known simply as Agapanthus, Agapanthus africanus, will grow to over 2 feet with the bloom spikes holding the showy clustered blue or white flowers will stand 3 feet or better. In central and south Florida, Lily of the Nile does best with part day sun and part day shade to dappled shade, but may tolerate full sun under ideal conditions. Lily of the Nile does best with minimal watering in the cool winter months and they bloom in the spring into early summer.
