Winter Observing On A Commercial Longline Vessel - Post #7
By A Mystery Man Writer
Description
The best perk of this job is the flexible work schedule and time off from work. This time gives flexibility for fun plans, including Mariners opening day and a road trip to the Midwest. This time off will be filled with lots of travel, family, and friends! We steamed back to Dutch Harbor on Day 75. The trip was cut short in order to get the boat back to Seattle in time to do some routine maintenance referred to as “shipyard.” Our contracts are usually 90 days or as close as you can get.
